Hi there, this plugin looks great and I’m so stoked I found it. But, the images are not importing. Other people seem to have had this problem, but the only resolution seems to be deleting the imported posts (also from trash) and trying again, but that’s not working.

I’m using the Avada Theme V7.2, WordPress 5.7.3

    Here’s the feed I’m importing:

    Hi @jasperhawk,

Thanks for using our plugin and for reaching out!
Looks like your feed doesn’t include the <image> or <itunes:image> tags so that’s why it’s not being imported.

Could you perhaps check with Podbean why either of these two are missing?
I see there’s another content tag there that includes the image but it’s a non-standard one.

Hey, thank you so much for the speedy reply! I love when a problem makes sense.

I’ll see if anything can be done on the podbean end. Is there any code modification I could make with podcast importer to trap the tag does exist?

Or, do you think I might be able to get an RSS feed from Apple or Spotify?

    Thank you!

I’m quite sure Podbean can get it fixed for you – please let me know if they reply back. Otherwise, we’ll try to snatch this tag as well if the other two tags are not there.

The Apple Podcasts feed is the same one (from Podbean) and I don’t think you can get the Spotify feed, so we’ll have to wait for Podbean.

Thank you! this is what the podbean guy said – and it seemed to do the trick, although I am confused as to why, since the “Itunes image tag” option was already selected on podbean RSS settings – maybe setting the Author/Owner tag kicked something into working right…

    1. Go to Settings –> General –> More Options page. Set the Author/Owner information to your preference that will reflect to your feed.
    2. Now go to Settings –> Feed –> Advance Feed Settings and set the Episode Art Work Tag to “Use iTunes image tag”.
    3. Edit your latest post and publish it again to clear your feed cache.
    4. Wait for other platforms to show your episode logo within 24 hours.

    Hey @jasperhawk,

Great! I see that your feed is now updated with the image tags, so you can run the import process again and it’ll work.

Just don’t forget to completely remove (from the trash as well) the previously imported posts.
