Images will not show up on blog

    Hi! I can not get images to show on my blog anymore. The images used to upload and insert on the blog. I can upload images using FTP. When I use Flash Uploader I am not sure where the images go. What folder are they supposed to go to? I am new at this, so I apologize if this is something very simple.

    The theme I am using is atahualpa. It was working fine until last week.

    Your last picture needs to go in /wp-content/uploads/2009/02/ and be named alamowayne-300×226.jpg

    Just right mouse click on where the picture should be, and select Properties.

    I tried doing what you said but no luck. I went ahead and just took the picture off the post. Any other ideas? ~Terry

    The image for your first post is here, https://mycreativityblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/myfrontporchsmall.jpg. It looks as though the url on your site is entered incorrectly.

    Your other images show up fine and are in the correct folder for the post which is wp-content/images/year/month.

    I have been able to post photos to my site through a backwards method. I upload the photo using cpanel, then I use the uploader on wordpress in my post. When I get the box where the photo is supposed to be, I click edit. Then I change the folder number for the photo from 03 to 02. When I do that the photo will show up. But I am not able to align the photo left, right, or center. I am not able to choose a size either. My option is by percent, 100%, 90%, etc.

    At least the pictures can be seen and through a few trial runs I can get the size the way I want it.

    For the computer gurus out there, I’m pretty sure this has a simple fix. I’m just not that knowledgeable. I know enough to get myself in trouble. ~Terry

    The folder numbers are probably the month the post was created…

    If you look through your admin settings/misc you will most likely see that the Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders checkbox is, checked…

    Check the values above this to see where WP is trying to put your images. It’s using this info to tell your theme where to find the images…

    Try adding this to the .htacess file in your domain root to get the flash uploader working again:

    Trying adding the following to /wp-admin/.htacess

    <IfModule mod_security.c>
    SecFilterInheritance Off
    <Files async-upload.php>
    SecFilterEngine Off
    SecFilterScanPOST Off
    </Files>
    </IfModule>

    Create the .htacess file using notepad if it doesn’t exist…
