Images upload, but display as blank in posts

    I have used wordpress for a while and have never had a problem inserting images. Now, any picture I upload, even if it’s an old picture that is already inserted into the blog, will upload correctly and be displayed as an empty box. However, when I go to edit it, it will display. I’ll save it, and it still inserts as an empty box. This also applies to the exact same pictures that are already uploaded and inserted into a post.
    What is the problem? How come no pictures will show up in my blog anymore?

  • I would carefully check the extention of the file… sometimes there is confusion between JPG and jpg…

    My problem is trying to figure out where the posts go. how do people find my posts. What is the URL of the post?

    All the types of files seem to work just fine. Is it a problem with my host?
    Someone, please walk me through how to get my pictures to show up.

    Here is the problem, I think. When I upload my media, it uploads properly. WordPress puts the url link in a folder in the year 2011. However, on my hosting account, wordpress did not make a 2011 folder, so that is why my images come up blank. How do I fix it so wordpress puts it into a folder on my hosting account that exists?

    There has to be folder in in host it should be in wp-content/uploads else would have given you error can not create a directory

    I have the folder wp-content/uploads. But, anytime I upload a picture now, the url states its in a wp-content/uploads in the 2011 folder. However there is no 2011 folder in the uploads directory, only 2009 and 2010 which each of those folders properly displays my pictures. Where could the 2011 folder have gone and how do I change the picture destination when I upload it wordpress to a folder that exists?
