• I am updating sunshine to 3.0.11 from the old 2 version and having problems with the update process. When it’s doing the images it times out, sometimes at 7 images, then sometimes it makes it to 400+ images processed. After that it error’s out and I have to tell it to update again “An error occured. Try reloading the page to restart the update process.” (Occurred is spelled incorrectly in the error message FYI) It leaves off where it fails and lets me continue but the problem is that it wants to update all 20K images :/
I have deleted old galleries and it didn’t seem to affect the number of images to update.
I also tried to delete the plugin to start from scratch and it won’t let me do that either… HELP!!!

If you are deleting galleries you no longer need, make sure you are permanently deleting them and you have the option in Sunshine > Settings > Galleries enabled which deletes the attachments when the gallery is deleted. Galleries in Trash will still have their images and be part of that image count.

I am still looking for more optimal ways to improve the image update process.

Yes I did all of that and still it has more images than what I have left in the galleries

Go to Sunshine > Tools and try the Orphaned Images tool – that may help clean more images out.
