Images & Themes & Sizes

So, I have been testing the images and how the themes and your plugin interact.

1. It seems, if I have an image the Twenty Fourteen theme creates the supported sizes when I upload the image.

2. The if I change another theme with it’s images, and it has two custom sizes, the images, then depending on it’s process, the regenerate process may or may not create image files for the two additional supported sizes.

3. Now if I install a third theme with 3 custom sizes, the same as above, except, somewhere the specifications two sizes for the second theme remain also.

4. So, now if I install your plugin and generate the image sizes, I get all the standard, +2 from the 2nd theme, and 3 from the 3rd theme.

5. So, now I have all the standard, +2 +3 sizes.

6. This only happens if I install your plugin.

7. If I install the theme without your plugin, then the regenerate may or may not create all the sizes but with your plugin, I will surely create all the sizes.

8. Which brings me to two questions, where are these custom sizes stored? Is this in a config file or in options table? Because I have been unable to find how you are able to gather the sizes that do not even exist?

9. And can you make change in your plugin so that it reads only the active theme and not the previous theme? Because I am getting these extra image files that will continue to ballon the files on the server and therefore the CDN, even when I do not need them?
