Images size don't change

  • Hi,

    I tried to use the plugin, but for some reason when I upload an image, its size doesn’t change. Here is a link to a screenshot where I uploaded a 106kb image.

    Wp Smushit shows image is reduced by 30kb (4.8% – is that not 28%?), but files size is still 106kb.

    Is that a problem with file permissions on the server?

    The stats are summation of compression for all the sizes of that image.
    So if you have a Full, Large, Medium, Thumbnail size for a image, the 30Kb is summation of reduction for all of them.

    But why has the full image still 106kb? Does it mean that only some of the sizes were reduced? Is there a chance to check that?

    Most of the time Full image is skipped, as it is not advisable to modify the original image.

    Although one of our members suggested to add an option to force full size image smushing, we’ll be adding it in next release probably.

    Currently there is no option to check the details of compression for all sizes, we might add that in future.
    However you can add a feature request, if there are enough people who need the feature, we’ll add it sooner.
