Images shown with wrong ratio after the latest WP update
-
Hello,
I have a standalone WP blog. After the latest WP update all previously uploaded images are shown distorted, if their long side is larger than the front page setting fixed to 500px. This happens in desktop rendering, both in front page and in individual post pages. While in rendering on mobile screen image proportions are OK. The images are also showing correctly in WP editor. So, the issue comes only in final desktop rendering of the blog.
I tried to play with parameters and found out that when I edit the image line as HTML and delete the variable class=”wp-image”, everything turns back to normality. As long as every new image is uploaded with this parameter, it comes also distorted. When deleted, it is also OK. So, the issue does not cover only older posts, but also the newly created ones.
Previously I had no issues with the desktop rendering and changed nothing in the posts where the images are now showing in wrong proportions. If the image size is 500px, the proportions are kept correctly rendered.
Is there a way to solve the issue without deleting manually the class=”wp-image” parameter in all older and all newly created posts?
Thank you in advance for your assistance
