Images Rotating

    Hi Zack…

    I am having an issue that some of the subimages rotate on upload. Have your latest version of Catablog. I have looked at the images and can’t see any difference in the sizing for some to rotate and others not. Hope you can give me some idea what might make this happen.

    The rotation of images is calculated based on image meta data, meaning if your uploaded images are JPEG format and have an orientation meta value, then that value will be respected. There was some recent code rewriting for image generation and it is very possible that there is a new bug in uploading sub images. Will have to look into that, if you could possibly check out the orientation meta value of your images and report what you find that would be awesome too. Thanks!

    This is so interesting – had no idea about Meta data. I found a free editor and of course you are right. The meta data for orientation was rotated in the images that rotated on upload.

    I will be going in and changing them out. Thanks so much for your quick response.

    I will also take some time, when I have some ?? to double check that the uploaded sub image renderings are correctly rotating the images. I am guessing they are not and that some code will need to be patched. Thanks again for this thread.
