images rescaled to larger versions on main page

    For the past few days the images I put in my posts appear larger than they should on my mainpage, https://xianblog.wordpress.com, while they remain at the right scale in the posts, see e.g. https://xianblog.wordpress.com/2012/11/19/amis-convergence-at-last/

    For instance, the image in the above is coded as

    <img class="alignleft wp-image-17451" style="margin-left: 4px; margin-right: 4px;" title="crane on Cockatoo Island, Sydney Harbour, Australia, July 15, 2012" alt="" src="https://xianblog.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/dsc_0623-e1346515538107.jpg?w=223" height="300" width="223" />

    and should appear as 223 wide… This problem seems to have occured several times in the past, so I’d appreciate any help in the matter!
