• Hi Milan,

I’m working on making a website 508 accessibility compliant and need to require that all images have alternative text. Is there an easy way to require that users add an alternate text label to their forum attachments?

I’ve thought about adding a new, required field that captures the alternate text or requiring that users add captions which then get used as the alternative text. However, I couldn’t find the hooks/filters necessary to do implement either of those techniques. Do you have any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    James M

    Hi,

The plugin uses media library to store image, so you can add ALT/Caption for images there. But, there is no way for users to do it.

Pro version GD bbPress Toolbox Pro has enhanced upload mode, where users can set caption. But, this caption is optional right now. I plan to add better support for uploaded images ALT/Caption in the next major version of the Pro plugin.

    Regards,
    Milan
