Images on slider bar

  • I know this has probably been answered already, but I’m totally new at this game, and can’t seem to figure it out. When adding images to my slider on the home page, some of them will display ok, but some of them are only showing a section that’s about half the height of the picture. As far as I can tell, I have them formatted properly for the slider (1200 x 500),but they just aren’t displaying properly. To see what I mean, the website is altradry.com, and the second and third images are the ones not showing up correctly. Thanks a lot!

  • The recommended size is 1170pxx500px. Your first image is 1200×500 and your 2nd and 3rd are 2000×500, which is why they are long and thin.

    Your first image also take an age to load. It’s a png at 300 dots per inch (which is a higher resolution than the best retina displays can render, so it’s wasted bandwidth). I would recommend a jpg at around 150dpi.
