    Hi!

We have a woocommerce site on the Luxury Theme on paxromanagallery.com that sells antiquities.

Since we’ve had the shop there’s the issue that when you first load a product page on Google Chrome the images and gallery come up very small. However this is fixed with a quick refresh – and they appear full size. Weirdly, I’ve checked through Safari and it works immediately on there so can anyone advise?

It’s been this way from the beginning so I doubt it’s a plugin or anything, but any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @paxromanaauctions,

Looking at the referenced product on your site I can also see the same behaviour as you describe with the small images.

I’ve performed some cross-testing for us today on several of my sites which have the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and our free Storefront theme as the only enabled software. When doing so I’ve not been able to replicate the behaviour which you describe with the images displaying small in Google Chrome and requiring a page refresh.

From what you have described, it could be code from another plugin or theme which has caused a possible conflict and affected the functionality of WooCommerce.

To see if that is the case we’d suggest carrying out a conflict test on your site by disabling all other plugins aside from WooCommerce along with switching to a theme like Storefront. This will help with trying to and locate what software you have installed which could possibly be causing this behaviour? You could use a free plugin called Health Check and Troubleshooting to carry out such testing.

When in Troubleshooting mode all plugins will be deactivated and only the admin of the site carrying out the troubleshooting would see those changes. Any customers visiting the site would see no changes at all.

Once you have disabled all other plugins and switched theme if the behaviour is resolved you can then enabled your theme and sites plugins testing after each one is enabled until the behaviour returns to locate the culprit.

    Hi Stuart!

Thank you very much for your quick response.

I used the plugin you suggested and when used with a different theme – the problem does not happen. However when I tried to use the troubleshooting plugin but use the luxury theme it said there was a critical error and would not let me view the page – so I couldn’t see if the plugins were the problem!

It suggests to me there’s a conflict with the theme (?) but as a non developer I’m not sure!

    Hey @paxromanaauctions,

From what you’ve described of when using a different them the behaviour did not display those test results indicate the issue is being caused by the original theme which was activated on the site and not the WooCommerce plugin.

If you reach out to the support team for the theme you’re using on your site letting them know the issue does not happen when testing with other themes activated they should be happy to investigate that issue further.

    Hi @paxromanaauctions

We’ve not heard back from you in a while, so I’m marking this thread as resolved. If you have further questions, please feel free to open a new topic.
