On the Presentation page under the columns there are two text boxes that take up the full page width. Can I replace the bottom text with an image that also takes up the full width of the page?

  • Hi Jennifer

I found the easiest way to do this was as follows:

    1. Open up a draft WordPress page.
    2. Set its Page Attributes to one column and no sidebar.
    3. Enter the media* you want, and the text and links inside the Visual tab.
    4. Use preview to confirm the layout etc.
    5. Once happy, click on the Text tab for the page.
    6. Copy all the code from within the Text tab
    7. Open up Parabola Settings > Presentation Page
    8. Go to the relevant Extra Text area
    9. Paste in the code that you copied
    10. Save and you should be done.
    11. Either save your draft WordPress page or delete it.

You can always go back in to Extra Text to tweak the code if necessary.

    * if you want an image to be full width you need to make sure it is resized accordingly

This works for the Text Areas but not the Titles.

I hope this makes sense and helps…

    Hi Jim,

You’ve made my life a whole lot easier today! Your step by step instructions are fabulous, and very understandable.

    Thanks for taking the trouble.

    Hi Jennifer

Just another quick note on the above, if you are going to put an images all the way across the text area it is probably best to set width=”100%” and the height=” ” so it will be “responsive” i.e. will re-size if viewed on a phone or tablet. You can make your browser page smaller to see what I mean.

    I hope this makes sense

Hi jennifer, how did you manage to remove the powered by parabola and wordpress on your footer? thanks

    Hi AJ425,

I didn’t remove it. It’s right at the bottom of the page, in small text. I don’t think I did anything to change it, either; I can’t remember. Why don’t you ask Jim (above)? His advice was fantastic.
