  • When adding or editing a post, go to the bottom right-hand corner and you’ll find something named Featured Image. Here, you can add an image that will show up on the frontpage. I hope this is what you’re looking for.

    I cannot now, and never have been able to, get a Featured Image. No matter how I try to upload one, I always get an error. Please, somebody, tell me what theme file I must change to get an image to show on the home page.

    Hi, I’m wondering if there’s any way to make the featured image not so huge when you click on the actual post? On the front page it looks fine but once you go to the post itself the image seems blown up to some very large default.

    here is an example:

    I solved my own problem ( above ). I had never used the Feature Image feature before, so it was not visible when I was editing a post. I had to make it visible by clicking Screen Options at the top of the editing page, then checking its box. Then, since it had never been used, I had to give the appropriate uploads folder in wp-content Permissions of ‘777’, so it could be written to.

    @makeshifter1: While researching my own problem, I made a few experiments that provided me with an answer to your question. I found that, once you have already added the picture as a Featured Image, the simplest way to change its size on the actual post is by going to “Edit post”, and manually adding a style to the ‘img’, like

    style=”width:200px, height:300px;”
