Images on blog not visible

    Hello,

    I recently installed this theme on a new wordpress installation, everything was working fine untill today that I find out no image is shown on the blog posts. I’m using the default blocks editor that comes with wordpress and do not have any special plugin affecting images.

    After use inspect elements from the web browser I see no img tag are on the post, however this behavior is affecting only blog posts, static pages are working as intended.

    Can someone please tell me if this is something affecting only me or is this a feature of this theme? I really like the look and feel of the theme, it will be a shame that the retro look of this theme prevent blog posts from showing images.

    PS: I have the latest and greatest updates for wordpress and smntcs-retro theme till this day.

    Hello @werozen ?? Can you share the URL of a post that contains images, so that I can take a look at this issue? On my end, the images are visible within posts without any issues. For example, on https://nielslange.blog/222-days-and-counting-%f0%9f%8e%89/ you can see an image within a post.

    Or are you referring to the posts that are listed on the homepage, e.g. https://nielslange.blog/, or on archive pages, e.g. https://nielslange.blog/category/development/? These pages currently only show the excerpts of the posts, thus, only the text and not the images. But I’m working on an enhancement to control if excerpts of the full posts should be shown on archive pages.

    Thank you so much for your quick reply, you are right, pictures on the post that are listed are the one that are not showing, when I click on the post I can see the pictures loading with no issues. Sorry for not indicating this detail before.

    Unfortunately the site I’m working on is not public on the internet so I can not share links but the results are exactly as yours.

    Is there any way to make some images available on the listing? I tried with featured image but it is not showing on the list. Instead, this feature image is shown on top of the post just after the title and before the post info with no possibilities to change the location.

    I’ll really appreciate the time you are investing on helping me out and the effort on making available this awesome theme.

    Hello @werozen ?? I’m going to add the toggle to the theme options within the customizer later today and will release a new version of the theme. This should enable you to show the images on the archive page. I’ll let you know once I’ve released the new version of the theme. ??
