Images not uploading with WordPress 3.5

This is the first time I have posted after installing the WordPress 3.5 update. I am receiving this error message when uploading images:

Error 9-2.jpg
An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.

My image is not large- only 2.3MB. And I have tried multiple images. None of them are uploading.

I have tried uploading one at a time but that doesn’t work either.

Help!
