images not uploading with wordfence in auctions sitemile

    hi,

    i really enjoy using wordfence security plugin,but having some issues with the sitemile auction theme regarding the uploading of images. i think they use uploadify which i have just updated to latest version.

    what occurs:

    when wordfence is active:

    1. i attempt to upload pics,in both the featured image as well as the uploadify box and i get a red x box with a pop up box with the entire pages code when i hover over the image.

    2 when refreshing the page,all images disapear.

    when wordfence is deactivated:

    1. all images work fine.

    are you guys perhaps aware of any issue such as the one i am describing.

  • Hello bricmor,
    It is possible that Wordfence does not recognize the actions as safe. If you go to Wordfence “Firewall” page, does it say the firewall is “Enabled” or in “Learning mode”? If it’s enabled, you can change it to “Learning mode” then repeat the actions that were failing. The actions should then be listed at the bottom of the Firewall page as “Whitelisted”. After that you can turn the Firewall to “Enabled” status again.

    hi,

    i had to uninstall wordfence,but reinstalled it now.

    the firewall was disabled and the same issue occurred. i then placed the wf firewall in learning mode and still the same issues.

    i followed your instructions,but no action listed at the bottom of the firewall page except for 2 from mid april 2016.

    i then unticked all the rules and still the same errors occurred.

    if the Firewall is turned off there is some other issue. There are two things we can check to get closer to an answer.

    1. If you have a browser console open while attempting the actions that fail, can you see any Javascript errors in the console?

    2. If you check the servers error log, do you find any warnings or errors there?
