Images not uploading to pages

I am having an issue uploading images to pages on my website. I am redoing the website, starting with the theme Sugar and Spice Pro. I can upload the images to the media library, however, when I try to then move them on to a page they do not appear for some reason! The weird part is I can see the script for the image in the text view of the page, yet in the visual view of the page it’s blank!
I have tried deactivating the plugins I have activated so far, as well as reloading wp 3.8.2. as some forum posts have suggested. I have also changed themes to see if it was a theme issue.
I’m not a programmer so I’m really not sure where to go from here! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
