Images not showing when sharing

  • Although the tags are showing in the source code, no graphics show up on facebook or twitter when sharing the link. That’s just one link, none of the blog images are appearing. The images stopped showing on FB and Twitter several months ago, before it was fine. I just today installed this plugin and as I said, the right tags are there but no graphics show up. Any ideas will be most appreciated.

    Thanks for reporting your issue. I think this should definitely be looked into, a few tests done with Twitter show inconsistent results. I don’t know if that’s because Twitter chooses not to show the images based on an account or site reputation or it’s because the meta data that should be included isn’t all there.

    Leaving this open to further look into …

    Any insights on why the images might not appear are welcome.

    (Note to self: the plugin doesn’t seem to be creating og:image:type – maybe that’s related?)
