I have this plugin activated on my site but one of the images is not showing now only when I’m LOGGED OUT of the site.
    Why would this be?
What setting do I need to change?

    Thanks

First and foremost try to identify what is breaking things by just disabling CSS or JS or HTML or Image optimization (incl. lazyload). Based on that we can see what the next steps need to be ??

It was the image optimization causing the issue so I unchecked it.
But it takes a really long time for my hero image to load.
    This is my site :

Would you know what I can do to make it faster?

maybe re-enable image opt. and exclude that one image that did not load from being optimized?

even with image optimizer enabled it was the same speed, it doesn’t seem to make the initial site load faster.

So you’re rather talking about “server response time”/ “time to first byte” Lucy?

Yes – if that is the official term. It takes a long time to initially load the page.

but that’s not something AO can help with, it’s there that you need page caching and/ or faster hosting ??

I have also the issue, that autoptimize breaks my website by no longer displaying the Homepage slider and the “Beitragsimage” for all blogposts. The error is: “Uncaught ReferenceError: _ is not defined
    at autoptimize_single_a231365788de1b3104b1c10a67a68ac0.js?ver=4.3.14:618

Any ideas how to solve this? I use cusotmizr and autoptimize for years now and this error occurs since I updated on the latest WP-version and updated all plugins to the latest version.

Image optimization is NOT activated. Only when I deactivate the JS-optimization, the error disapears. So there must be another problem… Can anyone help please?

A different image now isn’t showing.
It only works if I deactivate the plugin

    OK, so:
    * what is the original image URL?
    * what is the URL of the optimized image?
    * does the optimized image return a 404 (not found) or 30x (redirect) or 50x (server error) or ..?

It isn’t showing now even with your plugin deactivated so I guess it is connected.
I don’t know what the issue is.
    Thanks anyway

that indeed seems to imply a problem outside of AO and AO’s image optimization, yes .. :-/

will close as not due to AO, but feel free to follow up if you encounter further issues with AO lucytech
