I just upgraded to the new 4.4.2, and now none of my images show up on the site.

    What I’ve done:
    – Deactivated all plugins – didn’t work
    – There are no needed updates
    – Deleted cache – didn’t work
    – Refreshed browser – didn’t work
    – Logged out of wordpress & logged back in – didn’t work

    – I changed the active theme to a different theme & I can see images
    – I go to the current site & the mouse knows there’s an image when you mouseover
    – I type in the address of the image & I can see it fine

Here’s the link to the site:

    WordPress 4.4.2 running Evident theme.

Thank you so much for helping!!

    Hey Pearl,

Its an issue that you should post in Evident theme’s support forum or pay someone to get this fixed or see if there is an update of the theme available which is compatible with the latest version of WordPress. The problem is with the theme which is failing to pull the featured image and it shouldn’t take long to fix it. I think it’s hardly 10 – 15 min. job.

The only this is… it’s not just the featured image, no image will show up.

The fact that you were able to troubleshoot to this level that its not other plugins, its not other themes, its not caching then it has to be a problem with this theme.

    – Have you looked into the update of the theme, if there is any?
    – Do you have the support access of theme? if not – i’ll suggest posting this in WordPress answers forum on stackoverflow or pay someone to fix it.

Or hopefully someone who’s a developer would be able to answer this for you – although WordPress support forum don’t allow support for commercial themes.

There is no update for the theme.
The creator rarely communicates with those who purchase his themes from mojo.

Have you tried connecting with Mojo and ask for support?

Is your site using SSL, and serving content via https? If so there is a known bug that is causing image sourceset to be served with http. This is causing mixed content warnings. https://wptavern.com/how-to-fix-images-not-loading-in-wordpress-4-4-while-using-ssl

I had a similar issue on a site that has SSL. I fixed with plugin to resolve mixed content warnings.

I’ve just gotten the same problem today.

    Here’s my site….www.houseofdjs.co.ug

@frugally4u..I’ve taken a look at your site and your images seem to be fine. Could you please tell me what you did in order to solve this.

    Kind regards

I had the same problem and it was an SSL problem too. I deactivated the plugin (Easy HTTPS redirection) and it solved the problem.
