Images not showing on site and not inside media library

  • I’m working on fixing some bugs on our site and upgrading the site on a test server. I’m using the old content and have placed the content in the testing stage folder. But the images aren’t showing up nor is WP properly locating the images because they aren’t showing up in the media library. Anyone have some thoughts?

  • In the dashboard, under settings, media see what is there in Store uploads in this folder. If it is wp-content/uploads make sure no / before wp.

    left that blank. but I did copy my files from the old UpLoads folder into a new testing one. for some reason the library isn’t even displaying the files. I’m wondering if it might be pointing to a different folder? Im testing this in a subdirectory that I’ve created.

    If you do not upload files thru the wp upload media, wp won’t see them.
