• My apologies if this is addressed elsewhere but I’ve done a few searches and couldn’t find anything.

Images are not showing on my Blog summary page (which I’m using as my Home Page); the blog snippets are there, but no images or thumbnails. Using the latest version of … everything ?? Thanks!

    Hi,
In Theme Options > Page/Post settings make sure you set the Blog Post Summary Default to show an image.
    Hope that helps!

Yeah, I’d tried toggling that off and on previously but no result, Hannah. And just tried it a few times now – doesn’t help. Strangely, the images show in the other theme I was using – Twenty Fifteen – and show up now when I preview Twenty Fifteen. (Page is here if that helps: https://vanclaytonpowel.com/)

Have you set featured images for each of your posts?

No I haven’t. But on each of the 3 other themes I preview the images on the blog summary page show fine with the settings the way I have them. But not showing on Virtue for some reason.

I’m not sure how the layout works in the other themes you’re using, but with Virtue you need to set featured images. You can do this from your edit page on the right side.

Is the paid version of Virtue the same, Hannah? Because I previewed a bunch of more themes and every one displayed the images on the blog summary page without me having to change any setting. (Just not prepared to spend the amount of time it would take to go through every post and set the featured image.)
    Thanks.

Yes, Virtue Premium is the same. With your other themes how did your post summary know which image to pull from your post?
Your other option would be to set the post summary to full. Then if you wanted you can add a “read more” link to the post and this will cause the summary to end wherever you want it. The “read more” link is in the toolbar toggle of the visual editor.

Thanks, Hannah, I’ll take a look at changing that setting and see what happens. (I generally only have one image in the posts so maybe that’s why the others are pulling it?? No idea. Just know they work, so have switched to another theme for now.) Thanks for your help.
