When I click on my amp pages/posts through search results, it does not show all images.

I am unable to figure it out. I deactivated amp because of this for months. Tried reader mode thinking it will solve this, but the same issue.

I would appreciate if there is a way i could fix or even remove images from being optimized by amp because I always ensure that my images do not exceed 35kb

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Thanks for getting in touch. Can you share a screen recording of this behavior and we’d be happy to assist, or share a specific URL which you are finding in search? The only indexed AMP URLs I could locate at present no longer seem AMP valid.

I also noticed some lazy loading attributes on your images . Are you using a particular optimization or performance plugin?

I am using wprocket and also have cloudflare activated.

Thanks for the update, the video was very useful. While I can see what’s occurring from your phone I don’t encounter the same issue when checking the same URL, on a desktop emulator or from mobile. I also checked the AMP cache version of that specific URL and I don’t see any issues, with the image appearing.

Have you tried to clear your mobile browsers cache, or can you check from another device?

This only occurs when clicked from the search engine, google.com. search, “bet9ja codes and meaning” via google.com and click my link. It is on the first page.

This should help you understand the issue.

I tried another mobile device and still the same.

I understand. If you check this video you’ll notice I’m accessing your site from Google Search, without being able to replicate the same issue.

What mobile device are you using, and what browser?

That is the only one of the few working at the moment. It works here too…

Have you tried the other one i sent to you?

    It only affect some pages.

Okay, here is whwt i notice. It only affects some pages. I reindexed the the other and it looks okay. However, the ones with several pictures continue to have the same issue

Unfortunately I don’t see that URL as having it’s AMP version indexed just yet. If you can share a screen recording of the behavior I’d be happy to check.

Many thanks for sharing. I can see the same behavior occurring now from my side on that particular URL. While I investigate this further can you please share your Site Health information so I can check your current setup and installed plugins?

    (@lovelyayo)

    I have provided the information

Apologies for the late response. We’ve been discussing this internally and I’ve now created a GitHub issue on the AMP repository for further inspection. Regardless I should have informed you here before now.

Do you have any more recent posts where you can repeat this behavior, and do you have any particular configurations at Cloudflare level applied other than the default?

    Thread Starter lovelyayo

    (@lovelyayo)

I dont make any changes on cloudflare.

Also, I dont have any recent posts that have been indexed yet. However, it is the same with most of my posts and this is currently affecting my site.

I could give you access to my cloudflare if it is necessary you check it.

Thanks for the update. There is no need to login to your site or Cloudflare account, we have similar Cloudflare setups on our side which we can test from.

If you can let us know once you have any new posts indexed with which we can check with I can add that to the GitHub issue. Note that it will be the AMP project team who will be investigating this, it may be worth including your own GitHub handle or subscribing to the issue should more information be required.
