Images not showing in media library

About half of the thumbnails in my media library are showing up as just a gray box now. If I click on them the photo information like the size and name is there but still no image. The images are also not showing up in my posts. It also appears to not be the same images every day. More or less can be seen each day. What the heck is going on?! I’m also getting a bunch of 504 errors these days
