Hi all, I have just migrated a site from a Godaddy Econmy hosting to a Deluxe hosting. The domain name hasn’t changed.

I can now get the site to show correctly i.e. it is themed, I can see all of my posts and I can login to the admin dashboard and update etc but… none of the images will show.

The images are there in wp-content/uploads/ and if you mouse over an image it shows the correct address richardparkes.net/wpcontent/uploads/image.jpg etc but the image will not show.

In media, the images have placeholder spaces but they don’t show, clicking on the placeholder brings up the details but shows the broken image icon.

I did think of uploading a new image and checking the database to see if there was a difference in entry.

    Any Ideas?

    – Check that anti-hotlinking of images isn’t enabled in your hosting account. If it is, try disabling it.
    – check your uploads path in Dashboard > Settings > Media, make sure it’s not pointing to a different path . . . normally this would be blank.
    – Try changing the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777.
Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again (very important for security reasons!) and check that everything still works OK

Hi Tara thank you for posting those suggestions, none worked but I learned a bit more about hosting ??

I did some more reading this morning and found a post on this forum which suggested it may be a rogue .htaccess file, so I went into my cPanel > File Manager (enabled the option to “Show hidden files (dotfiles)) went to ..wp-content/uploads/ folder and renamed the .htaccess to htaccess.txt refreshed the site and boom! all the images came back up, Happy days!

How I resolved no images showing a member called michelleleonard (post 14) in the topic listed above suggested the .htaccess file maybe an issue so thank you Michelle.
