images not showing after host transfer

  • None of the past posts I found on this topic resolves my problem. I recently transferred a site to a different hosting company and my images and and Google map do not display. I used the Duplicator plugin to transfer my files. I transfer a number of sites over to the new hosting using Duplicator and it’s work like a charm. The website is Tharsosinc.com.

    In my Dashboard, everything seems to be correct. Here’s an odd thing: If you go to the About Us there is one picture showing. It’s the first of three slide images. The slide does not transition like it should. There should also be three pics under the Our Team heading. There is a empty space where those pictures should go. Using Chrome, if I right click on one of those spaces where the picture should be and choose “open image in new tab,” the picture appears in the new tab. Now here’s a clue that is telling me something but I don’t know what its telling me: If I delete the picture for Michael Lopez and upload a new one, nothing changes. BUT if I delete the picture for Michael and replace it with Rich’s picture, nothing happens again and the URL for that space STILL leads to the picture of Michael not Rich. It would probably be easier to recreate the entire site but I really want to know what’s going on here.

    By the way, I have disabled the plugins and switched themes but that doesn’t fix anything.

  • I am running into the exact same issue. It originated today after the WordPress update to 4.5
    For me it’s happening with images that have css transitions.

    Possibly but maybe not since you’re running a different theme.

    There are a few people running into a similar issue with images loading that are all using different themes. It’s not all images, it’s images that have a css transition on them. They are “there” but they display only momentarily or not at all.

    Note: When I said it was the same issue it was before his comment was updated with url link issues.

    Second Note: I get the commercial theme element and have contacted the theme developer. That said, if it’s happening across multiple themes with this release, then we should be able to collectively learn how to fix it. For me, nothing else was broken except the image display as far as I know.

    I don’t think my problem is the same as deanelectric’s. Most of my images and my Google Map are not displaying and my slider isn’t working. I read the thread about Divi that bdbrown suggested — and other threads — and it looks like the solution is updated themes. The problem is I let my membership expire because I am really low on money right now. But now the solution is to come up with money that I don’t have to fix a problem not of my own making.

    Everything is fixed. I emailed ET support and they allow me to download the latest version of Divi (even though my membership expired a few weeks ago). It took only a few minutes to update my theme and the problem was fixed. I have had nothing but good service from ET and they were generous in allowing me to download the latest version.
