• I am using docker-compose to host 5 wordpress sites on a vps vm (ubuntu). my site is great. the other 4 (my kids) can’t serve images. I can upload them just fine, but the direct url link to the images is 404. the files are on the server and formatted in various sizes with the correct permissions. the nginx configs are the same for all the sites. the only difference is that the non-working sites have a subdomain a record in DNS (mykid.thepage.com) vs www[dot]thepage[dot]com. i’ve poked in all the logs (nginx, wordpress) and can’t see why the images won’t serve. anything I can try?

You can try resetting permalinks on those sites. Don’t change anything, just go to Settings→Permalinks and click Save at the bottom.

no love there — I’m pretty sure this is all nginx, and not wordpress.
