    Hi,

I am adding a gallery to each of my posts using a custom field created by ACF, specifically the WYSIWYG editor field (as I don’t have ACF Pro). However, in the Yoast analysis I get the warning “Image alt attributes: No images appear on this page. Add some!“.

The images do have alt attributes and they show up on the front-end.

I tested this with a new install of WordPress and with only ACF, Yoast and ACF Content Analysis for Yoast SEO installed.

    • When I add a gallery to a new post via a Gutenberg gallery block, the images are recognized in the analysis.
    • When I add the gallery via a ACF WYSIWYG field as I have been doing (add Media -> gallery, creating shortcode [gallery ids="2,4"]), the images are not recognized in the analysis.
    • I installed the Classic Editor plugin to see if it is to do with the old editor. When I add a gallery here (add Media -> gallery, i.e. same process as via ACF WYSIWYG field), the images are recognized in the analysis.

So there seems to be an issue with using the ACF WYSIWYG field for galleries and Yoast.
What are the steps I could take to fix this? Many thanks
