• The link is one example of the issue I’m facing. When you go to the page, there are about 6 or 7 images that are not showing up. There isn’t anything in my custom CSS that says hidden about the photos. When I tried on the WordPress editor to add from my media files to the post, the image doesn’t show at all. All that happens is the caption floating to the left and no image. Any suggestions? (P.S. I want to remove the 5.0 version but don’t know how.)

Update: I’ve downgraded my WordPress version and still the images/media files will not add. I’ve tried the suggestions above, but it’s not working on any editor no matter which one I choose. Literally, I put a single photo on my post, I add the photo, I click away after I save the draft, and the image literally disappears. It gets faded for a split second, and the image is gone.

    Here is a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91VTY8we_Lo&feature=youtu.be

I think it’s something to do with www.remarpro.com on their back end because I have done nothing different than before and I’ve deactivated my plugins for the ones I don’t use. It only does it with a single photo. If I put in one from elementor with an image and the text underneath, it does the same thing of fading for a second, but then it sticks.

On the page you referenced, I see one image (the first one). The others are not showing, but I have a slow connection and they are really large, so I’m not sure if they would show eventually. I see that using the Developer Tools in my browser, by hovering on the img src attribute, it shows me a small thumbnail and the dimensions.
So that tells me that the images exist on your server and they are being referenced in the page correctly. There must be some kind of plugin conflict or lazy loading gone wrong.

Really, why would you upload an image that is 3000 pixels wide? It slows down your site for everyone and uses more bandwidth than needed. And to have lots of those on one page? Crazy.

I’m rather new to WordPress and haven’t done this before so I’m not familiar with picture size requirements and what’s considered not ‘crazy’. I’ve lowered my image size in pixels on one post to not 3000, more like 300, and the images still don’t show.

The first image is the featured image and that’s the only thing that is working. For right now, the only images that don’t disappear is the image carousel on Elementor. It’s not a solution, but since I’m not getting an answer to why my images stopped overnight from showing on my website I’ll have to make due for right now.

Go to the Jetpack Settings page. Turn off the “Enable Lazy Loading for images” setting. See if that helps.

    HELLO!

I`m using elementor to edit pages.
The pictures are uploaded, they appear in the edition board but when i go to the site preview their not there. Just empty spaces above the texts.

Tried already to shutdown elementor, installed again but still remains the same.

    please help!

I had this issue on a clients site and it took me me forever to find a solution. It seems there’s some conflict between Jetpack and Elementor. I tried disabling all plugins with zero changes on the backend. I replaced the .htaccess file, etc… I then tried uninstalling Elementor and the images populated just fine so that at least I now had a heartier breadcrumb to follow. After reinstalling Elementor I found an obscure thread on a similar issue that was solved by tweaking the jetpack plugin settings. Sure enough after turning [off] the following settings I could see all images including thumbnails.

    From jetpack/writing/media
    – images in full screen carousel gallery [off]

    From jetpack/performance
    – image performance [off]
    – site accelerator[off]
    – lazy loading [off]

Many people use Jetpack so I hope the compatibility issues can be worked out soon. Until then I hope you haven’t given up on this and that this work-around will be a semi-fix for you as well.

I solved this with lower resolution and smaller size images.

In my case, I changed to exact size I needed (356×356 pixels and 150 dpi resolution), without adjusting it, and it worked.

    Hi Otto,

Just had the same issue (today) of images not appearing on my website but they were appearing within WordPress Elementor editor.

    1. Came here, saw this: Go to the Jetpack Settings page. Turn off the “Enable Lazy Loading for images” setting.

    2. Went into Jetpack Plugin > Settings > Performance – Turned off Enable Lazy Loading. Cleared cache.

    3. Reloaded website. Images appeared.

It is unfortunate as I do want to use the Lazy Loading feature however there must be some conflict between Jetpack and Elementor (or maybe its just Jetpack hates me and my stupid pictures).

    Thanks for the help!

I had the issue where the image would not load on a Woo page. It would display when the mouse was hovered only. I followed the advice above and turned of Lazy Load and Image Accelerator in JetPack and problem solved
