• It seems that all of a sudden, without any major changes to our site, we cannot successfully import blog posts to our Live site without having image quality issues.

    The Scenario:
    – User creates blog post on development site, adds images to media library and body of post, saves post as draft, exports the post to .xml, then imports that to the live site. When it imports, the images show up extremely compressed.

The interesting part is that I have a chrome plugin called Imagus, that allows for full res image previews when you hover over an image, and if I hover over the compressed images, the imagus preview shows it in full res.

It should also be noted that once we have copied the post over to the live site, we can no longer adjust the size of the images or view the image link, etc.

Also, we have been doing this same process for years with no issue.

    Thanks in advance,
    Levi (Web design ignoramus)

    Hey,

Something always changes for something to…change. When you say no “major” changes can you think of any minor ones? Is the issue still present with extensions disabled? Maybe an update to an image compression plugin or similar could be causing the issue?
