Images not loading anymore

Hello. I recently ran a GTmatrix scan on my site to generate a performance report. One of the recommendations was to re-size my images so that they would take less time to load. After resizing my images in photoshop, I re-uploaded them to my wordpress page. I then inserted the images back into my site – one in the “home widget 1” position and one in a widget that I had placed in the “main sidebar”.

The issue: the image uploaded to my main sidebar properly, however, my home widget 1 position is now displaying an error where the image should be. I have no idea why this is happening.

I am still very new to wordpress and would genuinely appreciate any sort of guidance on this matter.
