• We haven’t made any changes to our website other than adding posts in WordPress, something we do all the time. Yet within the past few days we’ve started having problems with the display of any pictures on the site. If you go to a page with a photo on it, the home page for example, the nav bar on the left displays fine but there’s a huge white space on the right and you have to scroll down to get to the content. This only happens with people using Windows XP and Internet Explorer. Our site says we are running WordPress 2.9.2 and as far as I know we haven’t updated it recently but I thought we were using 2.9.1.

I did, however, notice some bizarre behavior when I was trying to attach categories to posts a couple of weeks ago. From searching the forums, I believe the database might be corrupted. I’m not sure if it’s related to the display problem or not.

    The site is https://www.mockingbirdsociety.org.

I’ve sent a support ticket to our web host but I’m afraid they’re going to toss it back to us and say it’s our problem, they just host the site.

    Any suggestions?

  • 1. You are on 2.9.2 so maybe someone did hit the automatic upgrade button.
    2. Check whether your plugins need an update, especially Nextgen
    3. I don’t see anything wrong in IE7 on Win XP or in FF or Chrome
