• For some reason the site is not accessing the images folder properly.

When I try to show the images by going to the image url it is coming up witha 404 error message.

The site is behaving as if it is preventing access to that images folder/directory but for some reason there is ot an .htaccess file anyway. Is this normal?

    site is https://www.jo-berry.com

Image folder is the default url /wp-content/uploads/

ANY suggestions would be really helpful as I really really can’t figure out what I have done here to stop them from displaying!

    Many thanks

I am still having problems with this. No images are showing up on the site at all and I can’t figure out why. REally really really could do with some suggestions about how I can go about finding out what the issue is.

    HELP!!

A link to a page that contains some of these missing images might be helpful…

Have done a page specially for you.

    https://jo-berry.com/index.php/test-page/

    Thank you! ??

The images are in the correct wp-content folder.. What urls are entered in Settings -> General? Have you changed them at any time? Is this site hosted on a Linux or Windows server?

    Thanks esmi.

I haven’t changed the urls – they are both https://jo-berry.com.

I think that site is hosted on Linux server – shared hosting “Designer Hosting” package on https://www.names.co.uk

The url you posted above is https://jo-berry.com/index.php – which is definitely not correct. Try:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting via Settings -> Permalinks. If this works, then review Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.

    Thanks esmi.

It is nearly midnight here so will come back to this tomorrow when the brain is a bit more lively and alert. Will let you know how I get on.

Thanks again. Good to feel that there is something that I can start to do to find the issues.
