    Hello,

    Thanks for this handy plugin!

I’m adding images from the Add Media button or even trying to with just plain HTML in the text editor but the images are not displaying in my emails. I’m testing using a Gmail account and it first asks me if I want to display images from the website and I click yes (or even always) and then the images just disappear ?

Not sure what’s going on. It might be a simple fix or an oversight, but I can’t figure out the issue.

    Thanks for any help.

    Amy

    Hi @amyaturnerwp,
    Thanks for your message.

This is most likely something to do with Gmail trying to display the images rather than your site.

Can you look at the raw code of the email you’re having issues with at Gmail and see if you can see valid image URLs in your email? If you can see image URLs, try copying and pasting one in the address bar of your browser to see if it works as expected.

Let me know how you get on.

    Thank you for your response!

I looked at the Gmail code and when I enter the Gmail src URL directly in the browser, it gives a 404 error.

I’ll see if I can find anything about this searching online, but might you have any suggestions? None of my other emails are doing this. Just those sent by BNFW on my site.

    Thank you so much.

    I got it!

It’s because the website is behind password protection at the moment while I’m developing. I lifted that password gate temporarily to test it and the images were displayed in the email (Gmail).

    Thanks again for your help!
