• Hi

Installed the site Monday, all working fine images displayed ok. Had my broadband go down as I was uploading an image today and now none of the images on the site are displaying – could be coincidence but I don’t think so!

Have checked and the wp-content/uploads/2012/10 folder exists and the files are stored there.
If I go to my media folder I can edit the images but they don’t diplay nor do the thumbnails in the media list.
I’ve tried forcing the site to pick up the images by adding the direct link in the media setting but this hasn’t worked either..

    Any suggestions?

    The domain is https://www.energyboostevents.co.uk
theme is BlackBird and I’m running a few plugins but nothing that should affect the images folder.

    Thanks
    Taryn

  • Check your uploads path in Settings->Media. It should be blank in most installs.

    Hi

It was blank and the images weren’t displaying so I then changed it but it didn’t make any difference..

In that case, some of your images appear to be missing. For example https://energyboostevents.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/homeslide4.jpg

the files are there in the folder when I log in via https://FTP.. just don’t understand it! Think at this rate I’m going to have to cut my losses and r-install!

If it helps in the media library I can see the file names and their properties but just not the image itself!

It’s exactly the same if I upload a new file.

    Thanks

    Hi

Since originally posting I’ve done the following:-

deactivated all plugins – no change
re-installed all files except wp-content from a new a fresh download on WP – no change.

Tried activating a new template – no change.

    Cleared cache – no change!

Can’t think of anything else other than uninstalling the whole site and re-building ??

Going to sleep on it if anyone can think of anything this evening that would be great,

    Thanks
