Images not displayed anymore with 4.0 (+ question)

I’ve added them to the footer of the invoice/packing slip and after updating to 4.0 they are gone.

Thanks for reporting this. I was able to reproduce the issue, and it is already forwarded to the development team, so they can work on a fix.

Is there the possiblity to display a text like “Invoice amount has already been paid via PayPal (or credit card or whatever)”. So that the due date is only displayed if payment by invoice has been selected?

You can achieve that with the PDF Invoices and Packing Slips Plus Bundle, which includes both extensions, Professional and Premium Templates.

With the Professional extension, you can configure the “Due date” to be displayed only if the order has specific order statuses, and/or it was paid with the payment methods you configured in the document options:

While the customizer, included in Premium Templates, will allow you to configure the text to be displayed only to specific order statuses and/or payment methods:

Just so you know, the fix for this issue was included in the latest public release. You can update to receive it, along with other improvements we have introduced.
