Images not caching

    Hi there,
    I am trying to optimize the images which are loading on this site, but cannot see them as served in WebP. I am using Beaver Builder page builder.

    I have followed all the steps on this page:

    I am attaching the error log here in case you can see what is going on.
    Any ideas why the images are not optimising from this?

    I have deleted the caches etc a few times since the DEBUG. Here is the report.

    As I can see all the images are already optimized and optimized images are loading fine on your website.
    Once you upload new images in Media Library then image optimization will send new request (make sure to set Auto request and Auto Pull to ON).

    Please also note that when the WebP format does not offer any significant reduction in file size compared to the original JPEG or PNG counterparts. In such cases, the WebP version is not generated as it does not provide any noticeable optimization.

    If you run it through the Google Speed tester, it shows that it is performing poorly, with the prime culprit for this, the images on the Desktop version.

    How can you see the optimzied images loading fine on the website?
    When I check I only see one webP image showing and the site is relatively slow to load.

    You can check using the Developer tools > Network > img

    Please check all the pages and you will see that images that are optimized are showing as webp.

    And, for the images that are showing as PNG, JPEG is because the WebP version is not generated as it does not provide any noticeable optimization.

    I don’t see why a webP version is not being shown.

    It shows the original gets 40% saved but the webP 91%.

    But when I review it in the network, it loads the png version – which is way bigger.

    Can you explain why this is happening?
    It appears that this is happening for most of the images on the site.

    that is total group , some individual resized image may not have webp version , you can always attach .webp to check if it exists or not , for example

    also it depends on your image was loaded, currently only css backgroun-image() and <img tag works for sure , all other methods of loading image may or may not support

    I will just use a different method for optimizing the images – not very user friendly using this method.
