• When I input an image into a blog posting and change the “link url” to “none,” the image appears. If I try to place a link in that field either to the image or to a different url the image disappears. There is no broken link icon or anything; the image just does not show up. I’ve added an image through html platform and through the visual platform. Nothing works. If I go directly to the link that is automatically created in the “link url” – https://blogname.com/wp-content/uploads/filename.jpg – the image is there and looks fine. It just won’t appear on the blog page unless I unlink it.

  • Can you replicate the problem using the default 2011 theme with all plugins deactivated?

I should have mentioned. Our IT department transferred our blog from .com or .org and placed it on their subdomain. I was brought on board after the .org system was in place. I have control over content only so no updating versions, creating templates or installing plugins will solve this problem as I have no access to these features. Old posts (likely made during the .com stage) have images in them that also do not show up, but I assume they worked back then and disappeared after the transfer. I would get IT involved, but I have about a dozen other blog requests in that take priority over this one so I was hoping for an easy fix on my end.

Without the access needed to perform these troubleshooting steps, there isn’t really anything we can do to help.
