images moving all over page

Please help, I am new at this. I am creating a site with images that go with the text. Each time I hit “publish” to save my work, the pictures all go elsewhere on the page, usually to the bottom. Should I type in all text leaving room for pics and then put them in, or is there some way to make them stay put! Thanks so much, Wanz
