• Hi there,

I just changed my hosting servers from an old system to a new one with a C-Panel. To do this the tech support created a temporary new.URL and after moving the files to it, I was asked to remove the new and add old.URL to the previous server. Everything went smoothly, and the site shows up and the database changes are pointed correctly.

The only problem is almost all the images and the text are missing! I can see the images in the wp-content/uploads directory but they are not loading! Some of the styling of the site is also changed.

The hosting tech guys said they need to be re-set in some way, and assures the path has not changed. I do not know what to do and how to go about getting this fixed.

BTW I am quite new to this, so if this is a simple solution please bare with me and help me anyways! Here’s the web site if you want to check how it shows up now:

    Thanks in advance guys!

  • Hi, I think (no sure) that you didn’t transfer all your files, and specialy the Upload folder.
The permalink seems good, so check your folders, or maybe your .htaccess (to check this put a new wp htaccess)

    Hi iro18,

Thanks for your reply. All the images are there in the upload folder, I can see it via ftp as well as c-panel. It’s just not picking it up. Also the text is missing along with the fonts from the theme.

It is a strange problem because even on the WP backend admin area some of the buttons for pages, posts have the icons missing.. while others are not.

Once I go to the Appearance area, almost all of the theme selection images are also missing. So it has to be something else that’s causing this.

About the htaccess… I replaced it with a copy from my server… but it still the same. Really worried and confused!
