Images lose quality once uploaded

Hello all,

I’ve been having some serious issues with my images once they make it on my website. From the back-end, they look fine.

But once I view the post, the same image turns into a mess of pixels.

This particular picture is a .png 2863 × 1200.

At the advice of other forums, I tried a jpegs and adding this code to functions.php.

add_filter(‘jpeg_quality’, ‘gpp_jpeg_quality_callback’);

No luck. What else can I do?
