Images lightbox not working

Hi bonaventuradibello do you have other plugins as well, I am asking this because you mentioned a fresh installation? What theme are you using?

Now I have other plugins I used for test, I can disable them if you need to test the issue, but when I did my tests every other plugin was disabled. The only way to solve the issue has been to install the plugin “Simple Lighbox” to take care of images only, but it’s a workaround, not a solution as you can see. Please let me know if you need me to disable everything else in the meanwhile or contact me in private if you need an access to the admin area, it’s just a test website for editorial purposes.

Forgot to reply about the theme, I’m testing the plugin with WP’s default themes, the active one right now is Twenty Eleven.

@bonaventuradibello, which video lightbox shortcode are you using?

I’m using two of them, @wptipsntricks, one for text and one for image. Here they are:

As you can see, lightbox doesn’t work on the image. Do I need to use a shortcode for that, too? I thought it would have been automatic for images.

Yes, add the shortcode for images just like your other shorcode.

What’s the shortcode for images, then? Anyway, in an image-rich website (for example a blog) this is really painful, using a shortcode for each image I mean. As I wrote before, adding the Simple Lightbox plugin helps circumvent the problem, but IMHO this side of the WP Video Lightbox plugin needs an improvement.

@bonaventuradibello, video lightbox does not automatically open each image of your blog in lightbox. You will need to use specific code for it. Please check the usage instructions for more information:

Yes @wptipsntricks, I know that, the problem is that you can’t use most of the plugins that do that automatically, because they also act upon videos, so there’s a double lightbox effect being activated when you use both WP Video Lightbox and, for example, Responsive Lightbox by dFactory. Addign and automatic activation of lightbox for images woulnd’t be hard I suppose, having the libraries already in place, and it would be a lifesaver for blogs and other websites where there are lots of images.
