images in slides are displayed too small

Hi. I have set up a meteor slideshow here:
I set the dimensions of the slideshow to 856 x 200. In each slide I place a large featured image. However, the displayed images in the slideshow are small — only 273px and 305px wide.
Why do you think that is happening?
