Images in “posts” have incorrect dimensions after update—issue with blocks?

I am having the exact same issue. I think many of my images defaulted to 1024 pix wide, and after the update the height is preserved and the width is chopped so that they fit within the 780 pix limit. I can fix this by editing every image I have ever posted to set them to a 780 width. I have not figured out a way to fix this in stylesheets yet. K2 is my theme.

The only fix I’ve found is to manually calculate the correct dimensions, picking something small enough that it definitely falls within the allowed width in the template that I’m using. A relatively small number of my posts seem to be affected, so I can definitely do this if need be, but it doesn’t seem like we should be having to edit this manually.

Still no solution for this, besides changing the image dimensions for each affected image. I had to go ahead and fix my site this way, but new posts are still affected by this problem, so any advice would still be appreciated.

It seems as if every image on my site was affected. So the idea of going through 15-20 years or so worth images and cleaning this up is not ideal.

I’d also like to note that changing my theme to 2020 “fixed” the problem, so this has to be a compatibility issue with K2.
