• In versions up to 2.0.4, I was able to put images in the title of pages. I would put an icon (png) of a small lock for pages I had password protected, but with the upgrade to 2.0.5, it prints the text of the html. Is this behaviour expected? I tried it in a couple of browsers just to make sure it wasn’t the one I was currently using.

  • I just tried to duplicate this on a test setup of mine and cannot.

Do you see this only on posts which existed before the upgrade, or does it happen when you add the image now to a new or edited post (or is it both)?

It happened on pages which previously existed. I tried editing the post, taking the img html out and putting it back in, but it still shows the html and not the image. I will try with a new page.

I should explain a little more. ON the page it works, however in the list of “Pages” in the sidebar, the html shows.

I created a new page. In the sidebar, html code. On the page, the image shows.

Still haven’t figured this one out. I took the img tag out of the titles of pages.

If you could do this before but not now, then apparently the devs made changes to wp_list_pages() which affect this. You could certainly report that 2.0.5 is not behaving how the previous version was:

But keep in mind inserting images into Page titles would be considered a hack of sorts, and that they do not appear as straight HTML may not be considered a bug.
