    Good morning,

After getting an SSL certificate I just used Better Search Replace to change my in-page and in-post links from http to https. This worked very well. Thank you. It even changed the “img src” links to https.

The images appear on all of my pages and posts. However, when I go to Media Library and click on an image – in the URL bar it is still listed as http (even though “img src” links say https).

Where I should have a green padlock on my browser’s URL location bar, I have a grey padlock with a yellow triangle and exclamation mark and an error message that says: “Connection is not secure. Parts of this page are not secure (such as images).”

I ran Better Search Replace on both wp_postmeta and wp_posts.

Any other suggestions for getting my images in Media Library to shift from http to https?

Thanks in advance, Sincerely, Tim Magee

I was able to solve my problem by installing the plug-in:
    SSL Insecure Content Fixer

It automatically analyzes the problem and then under the Settings link you can choose fixes at different levels of complexity. Using the simplest fix, it took care of the http to https challenge for my media items and images in Media Library.

However I still had a mixed content challenge so I used:
    https://www.whynopadlock.com/

You simply enter your website address and it finds mixed content challenges that are not allowing you to see a green padlock. It gives you the specific problem, it’s URL and even the line number.

I discovered that I had two, old http protocols in my sidebar widget for images. I changed their http to https and suddenly had a green padlock.
