    Hi all,

Im trying to figure out why my 2 inline images that I placed in the header.php file render perfectly along with my sites navigation, but as soon as I click the “Post title” and go onto the “Post a comment page”, my 2 images dissapear, just leaving behind the alt text for the left hand side images – strange thing is as well as this, my navigation is still in place which is contained within the same parent container…..

My domain is https://www.bfdesigns.co.uk for you to view the problem in the wild – Just to note I have a placed a lime border around the parent container which is #header-logos, its this container in my header.php file that contains the 2 inline images and the sites main navigation. I put the border on to see if the parent container existed on the “post a comment page” which it does…

    Any help greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    Benisjamin

  • Hi,

I am also having issues. Did you resolve this? I installed Buddy Press and a bunch of plugins (sigh) would love your insight.

    Hi,

you need to look at the look at the file path for the images you are using, if you uploaded the images via the admin backend, then literally copy and paste the full file path thats given to you, once the image has been uploaded into the media gallery, and then paste that into your <img /> tag which Im presuming is embedded within a specific php file, and your images will render.

Any other issues and drop me a mail, as Im working on my laptop all of today.

    Hey there Benisjamin,
I understand what you are saying – uhm the images are placed in the theme images folder, and I used the entire URL for the image. They are hard coded to the URLs. When I right click to show images they show. And they show up in all browsers but Safari and Internet explorer.

So it is strictly a css IE / Safari 5.05 issue if you can see them in IE on your end….I installed some Buddy Press plugins and they disappeared. I turned off all the plugins, they did not reappear. So it is not the plugin but perhaps a recoding of the CSS.

See graphic attached for view in Safari. In Chrome and Firefox, they show up. Not having this issue with any other site…but I also do not code CSS so do not know how to find nor resolve the issue.

    Your thoughts are appreciated.

oops can not upload image…would need to start a new thread. The logo and search icon (which is a themed icon), and two of the social media icons are not showing
