Images in gallery not showing as connected in media

    Hi, I’ve mad a page with a nextgen gallery. I did notice that images used in a gallery don’t show in the media library as ‘connected’ to a webpage. Is that correct?

    Hi @mrroy44,

    That’s absolutely correct.

    NextGen doesn’t operate with images located in media library and it has its own image management system, that’s why the gallery images wouldn’t appear in WP’s Media.

    So what happens if I delete the unconnected images from my library?
    And what happens if I optimize images in the library for speed? Do I need to optimize another folder too to include the photos used in the gallery?
