    Hi,

Could the problem be related to the use of a CDN?
Some treats are suggesting issues over CDN are resolved, some say they are not. Could someone clear this out for me please? The support of my CDN says everything seems OK with them but still images are broken in IE and Firefox. Is this because of WebP maybe?

    Thanks,

    Kelly

    Hi again,

I solved the problem. I’ve deactived the convertion to WebP, I think this is not compatible with the CDN services. After that I needed to delete the rewrite code in the .htacces file for WebP. After that everything works OK, AND my speed-score is even better now!

    Thanks anyway,

Yes, there is a WebP option specifically for those using CDNs called Alternative WebP Rewriting. It works for cloudflare, not 100% about any other CDNs, still working on finding a way to detect whether a webp version exists when the image is on a remote server.

I can confirm that it also works with MaxCDN as well.

I’m having the same problem. Using Cloudflare + MaxCDN. I have checked that option “Alternative WebP Rewriting”, deleted from .htaccess what was from this plugin but the images still not showing in IE and Firefox. There’s anything else to do, like Bulk Optimize or regenerate images i don’t know?

    Hi there,

It usually Takes à While for thé changes take place. Make shure to clear cache and to purge url’s on CDN.

Just to confirm what kelly said, you most definitely need to purge both Cloudflare and MaxCDN, or the cached images will still be messed up.
